The Castle dominates the river Adda high above from its mighty walls and offers an amazing view of the river and an easy access to the Leonardo’s places of the Adda Park, a real open-air museum made up of trails for bike and pedestrians in the greenery and historical testimonies like churches, shrines, noble villas and old hydroelectric power plants.
At a short distance from the Castle there are the renown workers’ village of Crespi d’Adda, valuable example of industrial archeology enlisted in the Unesco’s World Heritage Sites, the Castello Visconteo of Trezzo d’Adda and Naviglio della Martesana, connecting the river Adda and Milan.
To the delight of kids, the Leolandia amusement park and the Prehistoric Park are at about ten kilometers from the castle.
